He also opens Womenswear shops in Leeds and Covent Garden.The first continental franchise in Zurich opens in 1994 and helps Ted branch in to Europe. Ted Baker becomes a public company. "Ted Baker PLC" trading as "Ted Baker, No Ordinary Designer Label Limited". We extend and refurbish the stores in Liverpool and Manchester while Glasgow's store is treated to a refurbishment. Soon after Ted opens his very first standalone store on American soil in New York, not to mention the very first website online for an international audience. "Skinwear" and "Underwear" launches make for an exciting year.
