Ted has the idea for a global brand while fishing and in 1988, Ted opens his first store in Glasgow, quickly followed by stores in Manchester King Street and Nottingham Exchange Arcade.  In 1990, Ted's first London store starts trading in Covent Garden and the company is bought outright from Goldberg and Sons.  In 1992, The "Blue Baker" range is launched and Ted soon opens stores in West Soho, London, Nottingham, Bridlesmith Gate and Leeds, Victoria Quarter. Ted becomes a privately owned company again.The year is now 1994 and Ted entrusts his brand to others and launches his wholesale business in the UK.
